SPAM JAM

For this project in my STYLE class, we were tasked with creating an integrated campaign for a brand of our own choosing. My partner, Noah Marcinczyk, and I landed on SPAM because we felt that it was a brand that got a bad wrap for being “gross canned meat” when it was actually a delicacy of historical significance in places like Hawaii. Our ideas stemmed from a plan to create a festival called The SPAM Jam that would properly introduce this spiced ham to the mainland US through a series of concerts and activities like a surf competition. For that, we planned on bringing a wave rider machine to landlocked areas where people could learn how to surf and compete for SPAM-themed prizes. Additionally, we designed some SPAM merchandise that could be sold throughout the festival tour.
